Greetings! I'm Angel Alberto Rodríguez Serrano, also known as The Salsa Guy

My passion lies in providing personalized dance experiences that not only entertain but also serve as a cultural bridge. For many years, I have taught dance lessons in both English and Spanish and performed vibrant Latin American Folk dances with the Tradición Dance Company, a 30-person Puerto Rican and Latin American Folkloric Dance Company.

Through my teaching, I've observed how it brings joy and fosters unity across diverse communities. I grew up in New York City and moved to Puerto Rico as a teenager, which had a profound influence on my teaching. While attending the University of Puerto Rico, I joined ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) and then later joined the U.S. Army, which is why I organize the “Veteranos Salseros” (Veteran Salsa Dancers), because I am a veteran myself. Today, I now call Richmond, Virginia, home where I live with my wife and family.

More than just teaching dance steps, I aim to cultivate an environment where individuals can feel a positive connection with themselves and others, transcending cultural boundaries. Join me on a journey of celebrating life through the universal language of dance and exploring rich cultural traditions.
